Koussevitzky Bibliography

Serge Koussevitzky

No biography of Koussevitzky has appeared since the conductor's death in 1951. Moses Smith's Koussevitzky was the last to be written. It appeared in 1947, and thus did not deal with his last seasons in Boston, his retirement, or final illness. The chronicle of that portion of Koussevitzky's life has yet to be written. Nonetheless, there is much useful information in the volumes which follow. The most valuable sources are marked with a *. Many of these books are out of print, but may still be obtained from libraries.
